Living Room Color Schemes

A happy Friday to you guys! This week I’m back with some design tips and several color scheme ideas that you can use to revamp your living room. The living room is like the front of the house but on the inside–it’s the first room that your guests see. Surely, a well-decorated living room can leave a lasting impression not only on the rest of your home, but on your family as well!

Of course, you can never go wrong with the traditional look. It’s warm, it’s comfortable, and it makes anyone feel like home (literally!). Using shades of peach, yellow, chartreuse, brown, and orange, this mix of colors is fail-safe, pleasant to the eyes, and achieves the simple, classic look without being old-fashioned.

As rustic themes are very popular nowadays, you can achieve your own rustic look too by using white, beige, and a subtle-yet-bold shade like purple that can pop out in the room and emphasize the neutral colors at the same time. The rustic look is clean, classy, with just a hint of roughness and old world feel.

Want to feel like Marie Antoinette? Using cream or white as your main color with pastel accents such as pinks and yellows will definitely bring out femininity and elegance in any room. It looks fancy and expensive–a room fitting for a princess or a queen!

Feeling a little bold? Pick out a bright color such as turquoise blue but balance it out with neutrals to give your room a fresh, chic look without being over-the-top. Bright blues also give a room a breezy, seaside feel that is soothing to the eyes. It’s modern, trendy, and cool (in more meanings than one!).
